Born in the city of Lodz on an April Sunday in 1957. In 1979, he gladly followed the footsteps of his future wife and moved to Warsaw.
In 1980, he graduated from Warsaw University, having majored in English Philology, with an M.A. degree soon to follow. Even more satisfying than his academic accomplishments was his joyous induction to fatherhood in 1986.
In 1980 he proved ungrateful to the then socialist Poland and resigned from his teaching position, a decision which benefitted his family greatly. The country, busy grappling with the transformation of the political system underway, failed to notice the loss.
